We did not improve the grade. We built what comes after it.
Top Pop Toners was founded on a single conviction: the numismatic market deserved more than a number. We built the intelligence layer to deliver it.
Our Origin
The grade told you what. We built the system that tells you why.
For decades, the numismatic market operated on a consensus: the grade was the truth. A number assigned by a grading service became the definitive statement on a coin's value, its authenticity, its story. The market accepted this. We did not.
Top Pop Toners was built to answer the questions the grade was never designed to ask. Is the toning original? Is the surface structurally intact? Does the patina tell a story of honest aging — or deliberate intervention? These are not secondary questions. They are the primary ones.
We built a structure-first validation methodology and a patina intelligence framework from the ground up — proprietary, rigorous, and built for the professionals who already knew the grade was not the whole truth.
Our Mission
To give every coin surface the authoritative analysis it deserves — and to give the market the intelligence it has always needed.
How We Work
Four principles. One standard.
Structure Precedes Aesthetics
No aesthetic conclusion is valid without a structural foundation. We establish physical integrity before anything else is evaluated.
Reproducability is Non-Negotiable
Our conclusions must be reproducible. If a finding cannot be documented and verified independently, it does not belong in our verdict.
Evidence over Impression
We do not describe what we see, we decode what it means. Every observation is cross referenced against documented authenication data
The Grade is the Beginning
We do not compete with traditional grading. We complement it. Our methodology starts where the grade ends--and goes farther than it was ever designed to go.
The surface has always been speaking.
We built the tools to listen. Request a consultation and find out what your collection has been trying to tell you.
